August 7 to 20 - Brunswick Street Gallery, Fitzroy, Victoria Australia.

Perhaps best characterised as post-digitalist nostalgia, ‘Frank’ is a collection of works that subtly delve into the psyche of the artist, tracing elements of a childhood where Frankenstein’s Monster, Kiss and Bowie culminate to become cornerstones in the development of Lewczuk’s unique visual style. In addition to the evident pop culture iconography, the works also reveal a low-fi ‘authenticity’ in terms of creative process.
In a world of new technologies Lewczuk intends to make evident the hand of the artist, while in turn utilising new technologies to compose a visual remix of memories. The work is intended to evoke moments of nostalgic recognition as we encounter the work in its post-digital form.
